Strecke Records Archives 16-22

Rather than taking a retrospective approach, this edition aims to open a window onto a small town, a period in time, lives, hybrid sounds and art forms—a constantly evolving movement that, among many others, has breathed new life into the Swiss electronic scene. Driven by a sense of urgency and spontaneity, far from the standardization of cultural access, the collective strength of labels and groups—often operating outside legal and institutional frameworks—lies in the creation and interweaving of their own communities.

In 2022, the music collective and label strecke records ceased its activities. To celebrate the energies poured into the history of free music and collectives, and to honor this legacy, a working group and Les Éditions du Cric decided to produce an edition composed of visual and photographic archives from the collective and label.
